Hosting & Tech Lookup
Want to know what powers a site before you compete with it, buy it, or migrate it? This lookup traces a domain to its host — the provider, the IP it lives on, and any CDN sitting in front of it — then fingerprints the technologies running underneath, from the web server to the stack on top.
What you get
- The hosting provider and the IP address currently serving the domain.
- Any CDN or reverse proxy — Cloudflare, Fastly, and the like — shielding the origin.
- Detected technologies, from the web server to common frameworks and platforms.
- The geographic location the infrastructure resolves to.
Frequently asked questions
- How does NameProf identify the hosting provider?
- It resolves the domain to an IP, maps that IP to its network owner, and reads response headers and fingerprints to infer the provider and stack.
- The result shows Cloudflare, not the real host — why?
- A CDN or proxy hides the origin server on purpose. We report what's publicly observable; the true origin behind a proxy is deliberately concealed.
- Is this accurate for every site?
- Detection is best-effort and based on public signals. Heavily proxied or custom setups limit how much is visible, so we show only what can be confirmed.
- Does a lookup cost credits?
- Reading this page is free. A hosting lookup spends 1 credit, and a cached re-check of the same domain costs nothing.
